WELL WATERED

April 2, 2013

It's not hard to see vegetation that is thirsty; it's wilted, off-color, lifeless.

Blessed are those who do not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but who delight in the law of the Lord and meditate on his law day and night. They are like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither--whatever they do prospers.                               Psalm 1:1-3 TNIV

The Psalmist knows the source of a "well-watered" life, being rooted and grounded in the law of God, God's Word, AND, living accordingly.

Most vegetation is "stuck" where it lands. But we have the freedom to drink from God's Word, and to have a well-watered self. What if we made it a healthy habit to spend some time day by day in God's Word. Be like a tree planted by streams of water.

Joyfully,
