"We have only five loaves of bread and two fish," they answered.

More than 5000 gathered to hear Jesus teach and be ministered by him.  And when it came supper-time, there did not seem to be enough to eat.  And after an inventory, the disciples report to Jesus, "We don't have enough!"  Jesus answered, "Really?"

 

Friend in Christ, so Jesus is with us again today.  We will have plenty of opportunities to think, "We don't have enough."  But I urge us to take on the eyes of faith, and to keep those eyes on the center of our faith and lives, Jesus the Christ.  In him we have an abundance.
