Free to Love

So Paul fights with the Galatians for their freedom. But what to do with freedom? Anything goes?

You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature, rather, serve one another humbly in love.
                                      --Galatians 5:13 TNIV

Legalism, obligation, do's and don'ts, it's slavery. So with the freedom we have through faith in Christ, Paul asserts, use freedom not for self-indulgence, but to serve one another, service out of gratitude, love, not obligation.

So in Christ does freedom mean, anything goes? Of course not. It means we are free to be the people God made us to be, and truly free to love.
