GLORIFIED

One of the reasons parents get all excited is when others see how great our kids are--yes, we are proud of them, but it's bigger than that. When children do well, and others notice, it lifts the entire family--in essence it brings glory to the family.

We pray this so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.
                                                ---2 Thessalonians 1:12 TNIV

Christ-followers bring glory to God when we live as Christ summons us. Likewise, it is demeaning of our God when we wallow in sin, and pettiness. Paul prays for the Thessalonians that through them, they would bring glory to Christ.

What if that were our prayer today: "Lord Jesus, by the way I live and act today in all circumstance, may my life bring glory to you. Amen."
