Midway through Hosea's words, and it's not happy talk. Hosea beckons to Israel, "Do not think your ignoring God and sin will go unaccounted." The people of God thought Hosea a "downer." But Hosea proved correct, the people dead wrong.
Hosea's are words of love to adolescent adults who won't heed the truth. Maybe we don't like thoughts of "settle up" time. But that is because we miss the words of love.
