Many of us are familiar with Jesus' miracle of the feeding of the 5000. No doubt, to do so with just five loaves and two fish, that's something. But..
When Jesus landed and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd. So he began teaching them many things.

Yes, the miracle of the feeding. But why were they there? They were hungry for more than bread and fish. That's why they were there in the first place. Jesus calls them sheep looking for direction.
The feeding, terrific! But it is the food of the Word of God that is a miracle that keeps on giving. Eat a meal, and you will eat again. But the Word of God is the stuff of life itself.
