BEING IN

 People are seeking God. We hear much talk of a soul-hunger, a spiritual longing. To be sure, many people choose many different paths to attempt to assuage that hunger. But...

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one. We know also that the Son of God has come and given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true by being in his Son Jesus Christ.

By the authority of God's Word, let me speak straightforwardly. I mean no disrespect to people's various attempts to seek God, to feed their inner spiritual hunger, but the Word points us, you and me, to Jesus Christ. My GPS is programmed for the "fastest route." John points us here, more surely than any GPS, to Christ.

"Being in Christ", he says, we come to God. Looking for God? Get to know Jesus Christ. It's what we call, being in Christ.
