PLAY-DOH COMPLETE

Imagine buying a can of Play-Doh, yet when it's opened, it's already sculpted, and hardened. Isn't that missing the point?

You turn things upside down, as if the potter were thought to be like the clay! Shall what is formed say to the one who formed it, "You did not make me?” Can the pot say to the potter, "You know nothing?"

Isaiah speaks to the people of God of the Great Reversal. We humans often see ourselves as if we are the potters, when we are the clay, the Play-Doh. We are not finished products, yes, but God is the potter, not us. To think that we, the clay, tell the creator, the potter, what we are and what we will be, it's unthinkable, it makes no sense, and we are the ones deceived. It's telling the potter that the clay is already sculpted and a finished product.

The Great Reversal is God reminding us, the clay, that God is the potter and God is not finished with us yet, hallelujah.
