MIND CONTROL

The concept of "mind control," as commonly understood, is generally negative, picturing automaton zombies. Yet mind control may have a place for disciples of Christ.

Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things.

Here Paul urges disciples of Christ to be aware of the focus of our minds, in other words, mind control--"think about such things." As opposed to letting our minds wander into lesser places.
A mark of discipleship is the unswerving commitment of Christ-followers to practice mind control. Look at the criteria above--what needs to change in our lives to reflect such a life-giving discipline?
