How can cancer be good? Abandonment good? Hatred? A co-ed's murder on the eve of her wedding? This is good?

And we know in all things God works for the good of those who love him, and who have been called according to his purpose.

No, bad, very bad! Such happenings are as bad as bad can be. Nevertheless, our God can make good come from incredible evil. However, that is NEVER to call bad or evil good! Romans 8:28 is a great comfort to people in distress, suffering evil, but it is also prone to misuse, and hurtful application, calling something despicable as God's plan for good. Wrong! Now that is an evil itself. But Jesus Christ is our redeemer, making good from the most hideous circumstances.

I don't know your situation today, my friend, but I bear witness that through faith in Jesus Christ, some blossom of hope, of good, can come from evil. This is not to call evil good, but to look to Christ: " Lord, you said, all things--give me eyes to see, nurture my faith in you, to behold you making good from this evil I endure today. Amen."
