LICENSE TO SIN

"What shall we say, then? Shall we do on sinning so that grace may increase?" Romans 6:1)

In the same way, count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus. Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body so that you obey its evil desires.

So is God's grace and forgiveness a license to go on sinning? No! It is an invitation to offer our lives, our bodies, our choices unto Christ versus continued sin. Paul starts with the rational flow of thought--the reality of our sin, the great hope of our forgiveness and God's grace, then the summons to faithfulness. Oh, our sin is not yet done, not once and for all,as we will see. But...

Offer yourself to Christ today, to serve him.
