Knowing God leads to worship.

See to it that you do not refuse him who speaks. If they did not escape when they refused him who warned them on earth, how much less will we, if we turn away from him who warns us from heaven?.
- Hebrews 13:1,2 TNIV

The Book of Hebrews is an interesting progression of thought. First, speaking how Christ is the perfection and fulfillment of the priesthood, and how people of faith have responded looking to God as their center. Which brings us back to God, the true God, the living God.

In Jesus Christ, we have it all, everything. To spurn him is to leave us with no other viable (living) options, no matter how intolerant that may sound today in a culture of tolerance. It leads his true people to worship: "Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful, and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe, for our "God is a consuming fire." (Hebrews 12:28,29)
