Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

MY LIFE

October 17, 2011

We often live each day oblivious of the influence, the effect that we have on others--other people, other organizations, and simply our neighborhood.

Enter through the narrow gate.  For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.  But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.
--Mark 7:13,14 TNIV

My country, family, church fare worse because of my sins, for sinners bring judgement in thinking sins are small, or that God is not angry with them.
Let me not take other good men as my example, and think I am good because I am like them, for all good men are not so good as thou desirest, are not always consistent, do not always follow holiness, do not feel eternal good in sore affliction. (from The Valley of Vision)

The Puritan prays in humility to please God mindful that s/he affect many others--the household, the neighborhood, the workplace, even their church.  May the standard, the measurement come from God's standards, not simply the community average.  It's my life measured by God's ruler and God's call.

Joyfully,
