Sometimes in a few words, a sentence or two, we find an encyclopedia of wisdom.

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is true worship. Do not conform to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Let's open to a few topics in this encyclopedia of Romans 12:1,2:
--Discipleship is in response to the gift of God's mercy.
--We offer our service to God, like a body in sacrifice.
--True worship is such service. Worship that is disconnected from service...it ain't worship!
--It's not just about avoiding conformity, it's inviting the Word & Spirit to "transform" us--we become new beings!
--Have trouble knowing God's will? How has your mind been transformed by the Word and Spirit? To be ignorant of the Word of God yet long to know the will of God, no wonder!

This tiny encyclopedia of discipleship wisdom...what if we were to ponder it every day for one year, I wonder how our lives might transform.
