THE WAY OF ALL

"Death and taxes," of these we can be sure. There are no exceptions, so goes the street wisdom.

"I am about to go the way of all the earth," he said, "So be strong, act like a man, and observe what the Lord your God requires…"

King David speaks his last words to the next king, his son, Solomon. Three thousand years ago David spoke to the denial in our world of youth today--there are no exceptions, "the way of all..." So the way we live, what we do, what we do with it all, there's nothing more important.

So what are we doing today? What shall we do tomorrow? David told Solomon to pursue the things of faithfulness. It's the way of all, but how we live, the way, makes all the difference.
