HOSPITALITY
May 6, 2009
One of the terms that mark our relationship with fellow believers in Christ is hospitality. Even amongst strangers, yet Christians.
It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans. We ought therefore to show hospitality to such people so that we may work together for the truth.
- 3 John 7,8 TNIV
A welcoming presence among sisters and brothers in Christ marks a healthy discipleship. We hear of team loyalty, "team players." Stories are told of the comradeship of fraternity or sorority bonds of commitment, friendship, and devotion. The walk of the Christ-life is one of such welcoming presence. Why? Because of our common devotion to the Name, to the name of Jesus Christ.
Does hospitality mark your life with fellow Christ-followers?
Joyfully,
Dale Patterson
