It's a great thing to start something wonderful but better yet to finish it.

But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it...
                                                   - 2 Timothy 3:14 TNIV

"Continue in..." Paul tells; he urges Timothy. We are a culture that starts things, such as New Year's resolutions, but we find it more difficult to persevere and harder still to bring these matters to completion. That's what the Christian faith is all about, not merely starting something, but bringing them to completion. That's discipleship.

Yes, Timothy started, and Paul tells him the important issue is to continue, to carry on heeding God's Word, and to persevere in the message of life centered in Christ. So...get on with it, carry on!
