PURSUE

One of my partners in ministry and fellow along the way tells me that discipleship should focus more on the positive: what we are summoned to do versus the avoidance and "don't do's."

Flee the evil desires of youth and pursue righteousness, faith, love and peace, along with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
                                                   - 2 Timothy 2:22 TNIV

Paul does not ignore the "don't do's," but he does call us to PURSUE.
"Pursue...
…Righteousness--doing the right things in the eyes of God of
…Love--as opposed to self-interest, animosity and hate
…Peace--aim in relationships to get along--you don't have to fight a battle on every hill you come to.

What do you PURSUE today? To reflect a Christ-centered perspective we pursue righteousness, love and peace.
