DRESSED

You have to wear the right clothing for the right occasion. I do not live a life such that I have a valet to dress me either! Woe is me!

I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness...
                            - Isaiah 61:10 TNIV

Isaiah sees a day when not only will the people of God have the right clothing, but they will have a valet to dress them in that right clothing as well. The garments will be the finest designer apparel: salvation and righteousness. Truth is if they are not GIVEN to us, we will have neither. But our gracious God provides both in mercy and grace. AND, this same God dresses us.

We can't go out and buy such garments.  And unless God, the Valet, dresses us, we'll never look just right. So...rejoice, thanks be to God in Christ; we have it all, the right clothes, and someone to dress us to make sure we look just right!
