Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

ARISE

When I write "Enjoy Life, Enjoy God," it's usually pretty early in the morning. Like you, I have to arise to face the joys and challenges of a new day. Arise.

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you. See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples. but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.
                                - Isaiah 60:1,2 TNIV

God wants us to shine today! Yet the light that causes us to glimmer is a grace of God: "the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you." If we are to arise and shine, as the saying goes, it is because the Lord "rises upon you."

Maybe we don't feel very shiny today and don't much want to glimmer. In Christ  we can. So..."arise, shine, for your light has come!"
