SIGHTED

"Twas blind but now I see." The chant of "Amazing Grace" points us to our history. For so long we think we "get it" yet a moment dawns and we learn that we did not get it at all.

Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God without being born again."
- John 3:3 TNIV

The Puritan prays:
Glorious God, I bless thee that I know thee. I once lived in the world, but was ignorant of its Creator, was partaker of thy providences, but knew not the Provider, was blind while enjoying the sunlight, was dear to all things, spiritual, with voices all around me, understood many things, but had no knowledge of thy ways, saw the world, but did not see Jesus...

Yet the glorious day did come and in a twinkling eye we saw, we comprehended, the fool we HAD been, and the devoted servant we shall become. We were suddenly sighted.
