MANY VOICES

There have always been many voices beckoning us to heed their counsel and advice. Today with media, Internet, those voices are innumerable. So...to whom do we listen?

I was the first to tell Zion, "Look, here they are!" I gave to Jerusalem a messenger of good news. I look but there is no one--no one among the gods to give counsel, no one to give answer when I ask them.
See they are all false! Their deeds amount to nothing; their images are but wind and confusion.
- Isaiah 41:27-29 TNIV

Yet Isaiah warns the people of God while there may be many voices, many alternatives, to steer our course in life, they are but "wind and confusion." Oh, it isn't that there is no wisdom and good counsel in our world but without God's Word to guide us, to measure those other voices and inputs, we are left to confusion and often to a course contrary to God's way for God's people.

So today, there are many voices beckoning us. How are God's Word, God's ways helping you to steer clear? God's Word doesn't come to us by magic but by the discipline of laying it up in our hearts and minds.
