NO MATTER WHAT

Have you ever said this expression, "No matter what?" It means regardless of conditions or circumstance, I will do as I promised, etc.

Then Isaiah said to Hezekiah, "hear the word of the Lord of hosts; days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your ancestors have stored up until this day shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the Lord.
- Isaiah 39:5-7 NRS

After generations of prophetic warnings from God, still the people refuse to repent. God finally brings the day when he delivers the people of God into the hands of the enemy, Babylon. Yet faithful King Hezekiah remains faithful, no matter the circumstance, no matter the situation, no matter what, he will be faithful. Hezekiah is unconditionally committed to God's purpose and plan.

And hear Hezekiah's words back to Isaiah, "There will be peace and security in my days." Hezekiah has a No-Matter-What relationship with God. I pray we all do.
