ADMISSION

We went to the State Fair. You need a ticket for everything. No ticket, no admission. It was a fun but ticket/admission-oriented day.

Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord? Who may stand in his holy place? Those who have clean hands and a pure heart, who do not put their trust in an idol or swear by a false god.
- Psalm 24:1-4 TNIV

The Psalmist knows the admission price: purity, holiness, whole-hearted devotion. That leaves me out. You too? To ascend the mountain of the Lord requires an expensive ticket, one that we cannot purchase. However...

The good news is that one has paid the price and bought the ticket that we require. Thanks be to God in Jesus Christ, we have the ticket. Thanks be to God's mercy and amazing grace, in Christ we are welcomed to enter in.
