TONGUE TOO

The use of our tongue, or the spoken word, is a source of blessing and curse. So James utters great counsel for each of us in the "management" of our tongue.

It's little, but like a ship's rudder, it controls everything. It is the spark that can set a forest ablaze, and soon an inferno. We've tamed wild animals, but struggle to tame the tongue. Want to be a Christ-follower? Tongue-taming is a key step in discipleship.

If we've been a victim of an untamed tongue, then we know the truth. If we have yet to bring our tongue under Christ's leadership and lordship, James speaks to us the Word of God.
