CRAZY WORLD

Ecclesiastes points out to us the absurdity of much of the world, and the way we get caught up in our lives. The cycle of life is work, toil, prosper--times are good, then times are bad, and it goes on and on. Wicked flourish, righteous get kicked in the teeth. Crazy! 

No one can comprehend what goes on under the sun. People toil to search it out, but no one can discover its meaning. Even if the wise claim they know, they cannot really comprehend it. - Ecclesiastes 8:17 TNIV

So the message of Ecclesiastes is redundant--over and over again, the Preacher tells us to find meaning apart from turning to God is crazy. Meaning is not an explanation, a rationalization that says, "Oh, now I get it," no! Meaning is simply in God, and turning to God. Meaning is not an explanation, but a relation, a relationship with the holy.
