Building One Another
SEE! Vol 8 No 45
December 1, 2009
Dear Friend,
How aware are you of the work of God in and around your life? It’s easy to
think we see and we hear what is going on around us and yet be oblivious!
To be more aware of shortcomings than strengths!
To be more aware of pressing concerns than those who help!
To be more aware of anxiety than the peace of God!
Jesus and his disciples once climbed into a boat and the disciples forgot to
bring any bread along. The disciples assumed Jesus was concerned about
this and yet he had just broken five loaves of bread to feed five thousand
people and seven loaves of bread to feed four thousand people!
Jesus exclaims: “’Do you have eyes, and fail to see? Do you have ears, and
fail to hear? And do you not remember?’… ‘Do you not yet understand?’”
Mark 8:18 and 21*
The issue wasn’t the loaf of bread they forgot but the Lord of Life who
was them!
Perhaps this day is going well for you or you are facing mild anxiety or
even a very difficult situation.
Take a moment to ask our Lord to open your eyes to the presence of the
One who stands with you to encourage and comfort you no matter what
is going on!
“O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge
in him.” Psalm 34:8
