Superheroes are fun characters, but they ain't real! Troubling times need to be grounded in truth, life as it is. This is not to do away with fantasy, but to remember we are not living in a comic book. We live here, so we need to be equipped to live here.

" To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, forever and ever!"
The four living creatures said, "Amen," and the elders fell down and worshiped.

More substantive than any superheroes, Rev 4, speaks of the Lord Almighty who is in charge. Rev 5 shows us another foundational block on which to stand in times of terror:The Lion of Judah, but this lion is slain for the sins of the world, a lion who is the lamb who was slain. Rev 4, the Creator, Lord Almighty. Rev 5, our redeemer, and rescuer. The angels sing to their praise-"be praise and honor and glory and power..."

No matter what we face today or tomorrow, we serve the living God, the Lord who is in charge, yet this Lord is our redeemer, our rescuer. The Lion who is the lamb of God goes with us in whatever we face this day and forever.
