I read a number of books about leadership. Tony Dungy's, Quiet Strength, is his story as a National Football League coach. He's not your cookie cutter coach; he doesn't fit the stereotype.

May I scandalize none by my temper and conduct, but recommend and endear Christ to all around, bestow good on every one as circumstances permit, and decline no opportunity of usefulness.
Valley of Vision Prayer Book

Tony Dungy came to mind as I read this prayer excerpted from the larger. No cussing. No intimidation. No power games, but quiet strength. This is no Woody Hayes, or even my hero, Mike Ditka. But maybe we have more to learn from Tony D than many others. And he led a team to a Super Bowl Championship.
