TRUE WORSHIP

Why are you a Christian? Is it pragmatics? Meaning, it makes your life better? Or is it because of who God is? Meaning it summons you to serve God, to worship?

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God--this is true worship.
Romans 12:1 TNIV
"In view of" Or "in light of," "due to," or, "as a result of." Paul tells us that Christian discipleship is not so much pragmatics, as it is, "Hey, in light of all that God has done for us, how God has forgiven us and provided for us, let us give God our lives in service!" He goes one step further: He says that to give Christ our lives--this is true worship.

Worship is what I do "in view of" what God has done for me.
