TEACH US TO PRAY
November 27, 2013
As Jesus-followers, we are to be a praying people, if for no other reason than to talk with him.
He said to them, "When you pray, say,
'Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.'"
--Luke 11:2-4 TNIV

Give us each day our daily bread.

I don't believe Jesus meant these are the only words we are to pray, but they are a model, and for many of us, to pray this prayer once a day would be a good start.
So have at it. "Teach us to pray." Jesus answered, "Okay, pray this way."
