Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

CHRISTO-SUPERIOR

July 24, 2013

Christo-centric is a term describing a Christian's relationship with God, and how it is to affect our lives: Christ at the center of all.

So [the Son] became as much superior to the angels as the name he has inherited is superior to theirs:
For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son, today I have become your Father."
To which of the angels did God ever say,
"Sit at my right hand until make yo
ur enemies a footstool for your feet?"
                                                      --Hebrews 1:4,5,13 TNIV

The Letter to the Hebrews starts by exalting the Son, reigning over, and superior to all created beings, angels, as an example.

Throughout the 2000 years of the Christian faith, the 2nd person of the Trinity has proven a stumbling block to many, we risk subordinating the Son to the Father.  In other words, many have no problem with God, it's just Jesus Christ that troubles some.  But Hebrews will not tolerate such a twist, a heresy.  Hebrews, without using the word, surely reminds us of the Christ, Christo-Superior!

Joyfully,
