Enjoy Life, Enjoy God

It's an almost forgotten and rarely used word. Mostly in common usage, "providence" refers to a city and university in Rhode Island. What a loss for us!

"And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?"
---Esther 4:14 TNIV

But "providence" is God's handiwork in the world, our world, our lives. By an amazing twist of fate, Esther, a Jew, has become Queen of Persia-Babylon. Her cousin learns of a plot to kill all the Jews in the land, and he utters the famous scriptural question, a question about providence--as if to say, "Esther, this was no twist of fate, but God made you queen to rescue the people."

We may not be the queen of Persia, but our lives are important to God. It may seem like things are chaotic, random, purposeless. Don't believe it. Who knows God may have some great purpose in your being just where you are right now.
